Why I Started Invincible Kids
Why I Started Invincible Kids
Invincible Kids was born from a vision for something different: a way of supporting children that goes beyond academics and behavior charts. I wanted to create a space where kids feel safe to explore their thoughts, understand their emotions, and build the mindset tools they need to thrive. This isn’t just about learning better. It’s about thinking differently, growing with confidence, and discovering the strength that already lives inside each child.
I Wanted to Change the Way Children See Themselves
Many children begin to form negative beliefs about who they are at a very young age. These beliefs often come from comparison, criticism, or struggling in systems that don’t fit how they learn. I wanted to create a space where children could start to rewrite those inner stories. Invincible Kids is built to help each child see their own value, notice their strengths, and feel proud of who they are becoming. When children begin to think differently about themselves, everything in their world begins to shift. They move from self-doubt to self-trust, and that is where real growth begins.

Mindset Development Changed How I View Learning
During my post-graduate studies, I was introduced to Plato’s theory that learning is the process of remembering what we already know. That idea stayed with me. It helped me realize that children don’t need to be filled with information, they need to be guided in discovering their own potential. Mindset development gave me a new way to think about education, one that puts self-awareness and emotional intelligence at the center. I started Invincible Kids to teach children that they already have the tools inside them. Our job is simply to help them access those tools and use them with confidence.

The Gap in How We Support Kids
In every environment I worked in, from classrooms to small group programs, I noticed something missing. Children were being told what to do and how to behave, but they weren’t being taught how to understand what they feel or how to process what they think. The emotional side of learning was being overlooked. I saw bright, sensitive, capable children overwhelmed by stress, fear, and self-doubt. I created Invincible Kids to fill that gap with something practical, personal, and empowering. Children need more than strategies — they need space, support, and the right tools to grow from the inside out.

I Believe Learning Should Feel Personal and Fun
Too often, learning is framed as something rigid or stressful. For children who feel like they don’t fit the mold, this can create anxiety and resistance. I wanted to build a space where growth felt exciting, creative, and personal. Invincible Kids uses storytelling, imaginative thinking, and play-based activities to teach deep concepts in a way that feels accessible and fun. When children are engaged emotionally, they learn more easily and remember what they’ve learned. Making growth feel safe and enjoyable is at the heart of how we help kids thrive.

I Wanted to Build Something That Actually Works
Invincible Kids is not a template or a theory. It was built from real experience, both academic and practical. I saw firsthand what helped children grow and what left them feeling stuck. I knew I didn’t want to create a one-size-fits-all program. I wanted to meet each child where they are and offer something that could create lasting change. Our approach is personal, responsive, and focused on giving children tools they can actually use in their everyday lives. That commitment to meaningful impact is the reason Invincible Kids exists.

Real stories from families who have seen meaningful growth. Our programs are built to create lasting change, and the results speak for themselves. Hear how Invincible Kids & Rahima have helped children build confidence, emotional resilience, and stronger connections at home, in school, and beyond.
Our two children, ages 9 and 11, have had the extreme pleasure of working with Rahima and Invincible Kids for almost 2 years. We originally engaged Rahima for support related to transitioning to a new school and the mindset around change; however, this was just the tip of the iceberg! Rahima and the Invincible Kids Program have truly helped my children individually to develop techniques and the emotional awareness to shift their mindset to positive outcomes. Rahima does this in such a gentle and engaging way - it’s been truly heartwarming to see both children apply what they’ve learned in everyday situations with growing self-assurance and confidence. Rahima, with her truly caring nature, has made a powerful and lasting impact on our family. We can’t thank her enough!

Our son has been attending Invincible Kids with Rahima for about a year now, and from the very beginning, it’s been nothing short of transformational. A year later, he still lights up with joy and excitement every time he hears her name. “Mommy, when are we seeing Rahima next?” is a regular question in our home — a testament to the deep connection she has fostered with him.
Rahima has a rare and beautiful gift: the ability to truly see each child for who they are and meet them with unwavering kindness, empathy, and strength. She has created a space where our son feels safe, valued, and encouraged to be his truest self. Through her guidance, he is learning to be confident, kind, and resilient — qualities that will serve him for a lifetime.
What sets Rahima apart is her genuine compassion and ability to connect on a deep emotional level. She’s not just a mentor; she’s a partner in parenting and a role model we deeply admire. I often find myself saying, “Everyone needs a Rahima in their life,” and I mean it with all my heart.

Grade 6 can be a very hard year for kids, and my daughter was no exception. She was being bullied pretty badly, and her self esteem had completely tanked. We ended up taking her out of school because her spark was going out and we could not let that happen. As her Mom I could only help her to a point, before whatever I said became “you’re my Mom, you have to say that”, so we knew we needed to find someone for her to talk to. She didn’t need therapy, she didn’t need counselling, she needed someone to teach her life skills like resiliency and how to make good choices and handle real life situations. She needed a life coach for kids!
She has been working with Rahima for almost a year now and the change in her has been tremendous. She is so much more confident and secure in who she is and what her boundaries are, she loves herself again and she is getting amazing at regulating her emotions. We have her in a new school now, and she is making friends with everyone, and has joined all sorts of clubs and committees; she is really jumping into life with both feet with confidence and bravery, and I contribute all of that to the skills she has learned working with Rahima.
She looks forward to their sessions every week and considers her more of a friend than an authority figure. Rahima is someone who has absolutely found their calling in this life! She knows how to talk to kids and make them feel comfortable and heard, and because she makes them feel safe and valued she can draw out their innermost feelings and get to the core of the issues.
I believe that if every adult today had a Rahima in their childhoods the world would be a much different place, and I feel that every kid past, present and future would benefit from working with this wonderful, life-changing program.
Our son now has the tools at his disposal to be able to power shift his thoughts. I believe this is a lifelong skill and the more he is able to practice these skills the better outcomes he can expect. Also as a strong relationship was built, our son demonstrated increased confidence in situations (ie trying a new activity, riding the school bus with a student who was not always nice to my son) and an increased awareness of empathy for all, most of all including us and himself.
Our child is much more confident and driven for success. She is happier and more social as a result!

My daughter genuinely enjoys and looks forward to her sessions with Rahima. Rahima’s sessions have had such a positive impact on her mindset and growth that they have replaced her sessions with her psychologist. Rahima engages and teaches in a way that enables my daughter to learn and apply these strategies in her day to day activities. Through repeated sessions negative thoughts have faded and been replaced with positive ones for thoughts about how she views herself to also how she views challenges and interactions with other people. Rahima is the sincerest, most positive and kindest person whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. When I speak to others about Rahima, I always say, I can only imagine how lucky her kids are to have her as a mom. Her lessons with my daughter have not only provided learnings for her but for myself as well.
